Who Can I Vote For?

I’ve been asked a few times how it’s decided what place you run in for Arlington ISD School Board trustee elections and who you’re eligible to vote for so I think those are great questions to answer publicly.

Arlington school board elections are for the whole district. Our places represent the year in which the seat is up for re-election, not a specific geographic location or district. The place I chose to run for, 7, is up for re-election this year, then again in 2026, and every three years after that. This portion of the board policy manual, linked here AISD Board Policy Manual: Elections, gives more information on the dates for each place. Each candidate, myself included, decides to file for any seat they want that’s eligible that year.
